The Sun

April 22nd, 2010

We were in hysterics when we read this little interview. Sonny and Georgia in The Sun talking aboutthe meaning of Easter‘. Full interview below, enjoy!!

SONNY ROWE, four, from Bromley, Kent, was clued up.

He said: “I know Jesus died at Easter. Then he came back to life. He died to forgive us and when he came back to life everyone was happy. They had a celebration where they all danced.

“Jesus was dead for three days. He died because the bad men, well actually the soldiers, killed him. They didn’t like him.

“They put him on a cross and that’s what he died of. And when Jesus came back to life he pretended to be a robot.

“The Easter Bunny comes to my house. He’s going to leave me 14 Easter eggs – they cost £100 each.

“The Easter Bunny is brown and he is big, bigger than me and bigger than Mummy. He’s too big to come through the door so he just chucks his basket through.

“My favourite chocolate is white chocolate and M&Ms. I prefer Batman to the Easter Bunny and Santa.

“At Easter you also see lots of animals like chicks and baby sheep, which are called baaaas.”

GEORGIA ANDES, four, of Greenwich, in south-east London, said: “I know about baby Jesus and I know a song about him too, but I don’t know what he did at Easter.

“Easter is on Sunday and that is when the Easter Bunny comes to my house. He is the same size as me with big, long ears. He has magic powers so he makes himself small and goes through the gap under our front door.

“He’s going to leave me 100 Easter eggs and he must be rich because they cost £15 each.

“My favourite eggs are the ones with toys in the middle.

“I’m not going to share my eggs with my little sister. She’s only a baby and chocolate would make her belly sick.

“And I’m not going to share with Mummy because Easter eggs are just for children.”
